That is one inspiring picture. The face, the shadows... It's just so damn well-executed... It's so full of emotion one would doubt it's digital art. Not that there's something wrong with digital art. But so much emotion... Damn it, I thought only photos could be so intense.
This is... tragically beautiful. I want to know what happened to him for him to end up in that situation. You can faintly see a shadow on the edge of the page, his capture, yes? From what I can guess he's been beaten - maybe daily - and now he's gone passed breaking point, he doesn't care anymore; he's given up. The anatomy is perfect as far as I can tell, head in proportion to the rest of the body, ears that actually look like ears and shoulders bowed in to show his defeat.
Ah, superb job! I certainly love how the light beam has that usual dust particles in it, and the light is on the man's back - hinting something dark. Just by looking at his body, I can interpret with an overall feeling of this piece. Great job!
